We already know that the sequel to Man of Steel is going to feature a showdown between Superman and Batman. Director Zack Snyder told us that much at Comic-Con. What he didn't tell us was...well, pretty much everything else. Instead, Warner Brothers are going to do like the folks over at Disney are doing with Star Wars and throw us a tiny little crumb every once in a while and laugh while we rush to gobble it up.
So what's the latest crumb about Superman vs. Batman, or whatever they're going to call the next Henry Cavill Superman picture? Well, it turns out the film is going to feature an older, established, rugged-looking Batman, and there will be no origin story.
That's no small revelation. And equally un-small are the reports (via The Hollywood Reporter) that Josh Brolin is the early favorite of the powers that be to play the Caped Crusader.
Of course, everyone involved is dismissing these rumors right now and saying that the script isn't written yet, and they haven't even starting thinking about casting, and all that. But this at least gives us a general idea of where David Goyer and Snyder are going with the next installment of Man of Steel.
