Your favorite cop-killing Vietnam vet may be heading to the small screen. A bunch of Hollywood scumbags (eOne, and Nu Image) are in talks to develop a television series based on the iconic character John Rambo.
Said scumbags are negotiating with actor Sylvester Stallone who portrayed the troubled warrior in First Blood, Rambo: First Blood Part II, Rambo III and Rambo. The scumbags are hoping that if the project gets off the ground, Stallone will reprise his role. Also, for the record, anyone in Los Angeles who is more successfully than me is a scumbag. That would include everyone in the city, so the scumbags involved in this project shouldn't take my name calling personally. I'm just bitter.
If the project gets underway, and Stallone is on board, will television audiences tune in to see a 70-year-old man kicking ass and taking names? Or will the producers be forced to factor in the character's advanced age, opting instead to turn the show into a Murder She Wrote/Diagnosis Murder/Matlock-style show in which John Rambo solves mysteries at the local V.A.? Only time will tell.
