GAMING

What do we know about Halo 5 thus far? Slightly less than eff all, really. We all saw that melodramatic and enigmatic (and several other ‘matics') trailer, but precious little beyond that. And naturally, Master Chief dicking around in a shit-stained Grim Reaper robe will only teach us so much.
But it's time for revelations. There's a whole lot riding on this game. The franchise must prove it has the balls of steely, steely steel required to compete with other next-gen wonderment, such as Titanfall and Destiny. We're going to be up to our gonads in spacetastic shooters soon, so something special is needed here. Then there's the fact that many gamers were all kinds of pissed at the craptacular turn that Halo 4 took.
But here's just the thing to silence the bitching of the naysayers: a tasty little slice of concept art. This single image has been released, and it's big and gray and generally space-y. We don't know how much excitement is too damn much, but we're probably perilously close here. IGN's Halo Wiki Guide reports that the developers dubbed this scene "an early exploration of a new location that features prominently in a little game project we're tinkering with."
A riveting space base/city thing, presumably. You'll forgive us for not fouling our undercrackers in surprise at one of those featuring in a Halo game.
