Would You Like a Shot of Diesel With Your Exhaust-Cooked Burgers?

The future doesn't look very bright with all this crap about global warming and how the world is slowly running out of oil. It's also looking pretty grim on the food side of things, especially since there's one designer who thinks that the future of burgers lies with your car's exhaust pipe and on its fumes.

The Exhaust Burger is a concept by a group of Iranian designers who believe that people can skip drive-thrus and instead cook their own burger while they're on the road using the contraption you see above. Just put your patty in the chamber, drive a couple of miles to your destination, and pop the cooked burger (in theory) out onto your buns.

Normally, I love how designers inject bits of ingenuity to their designs, but this one here is a little nutty. Maybe it's just me, but what do you think? Would you like your burgers to taste or even smell like diesel fuel? Don't even get me started on what you'd probably end up with if your car's due for a tune-up a couple of years ago.

Now that's a nasty burger.
