I grew up on the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles back in the 80's and early 90's. First the comic books, then the original movies, and then the cartoon series. Not to mention their unbelievably awesome SNES game. But, like all things awesome, the sucktacular modern times in which we live want to ruin them. Last year's Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie was terrible. The turtles essentially look like giant green turds with ninja weapons. The movie made enough money to justify making a schlocktacular sequel and here is the first trailer to it. The movie is called Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows and looks to be more of the same. I do appreciate that it has Casey Jones and Beebop and Rocksteady in it, but will it be enough to make it not suck? I'm dubious.
Why can't Hollywood leave well enough alone. Some things don't need to be remade. In fact, I'll go so far as to say most things don't need to be remade. If a franchise succeeded in the past it was because it was good in and of itself and therefor doesn't need anything new added to it. That's logic.
