Watch Nick Offerman Drink Whiskey For 45 Minutes

One of the greatest, manliest characters written for TV in the last 20 years is Nick Offerman's Parks And Recreation boss Ron Swanson. For once, a character that embodies the true marks of a man. Ron has a lot of Nick Offerman in him, apparently. Both are manly men who love the outdoors, woodworking, and drinking whiskey by the fire. Which is why as part of his ad campaign for Diageo distilleries, Offerman created this oddly hypnotic video. In it he sits in silence for 45 minutes and drinks some Lagavulin. In our current society of chatter we forget sometimes that it's best to just be quiet and drink. That's how ideas are thought up and emotions are dealt with, like a man. 

I watched all of this video and I find it very soothing. I think tonight I'm going to drink some scotch and watch him drinking and see where it takes my mind.
