Now here's a story that's one for the ages. A seventeen-year-old teenage girl from Australia was helping her grandmother count the latter's savings. She must've been proud of herself after the chore was done, because she snapped a photo of the piles of cash they counted at the end of the day and posted it on Facebook.

This was a very, very stupid move, even if we didn't live in a world where warnings about safeguarding your privacy and security online are rampant (which we do, by the way). As expected, burglars tracked down their home and broke in that night.

The photo was posted around 4PM. Police estimate that two masked robbers broke into the house at 11:30PM and asked for the money. At that time, only the girl's mother and brother were home. The savings weren't at the house anymore, though, so the thieves just made off with a small amount of cash and a few random items.

It's unclear how the robbers got the family's address, although it probably wasn't too hard, if the girl wasn't careful with how she handled her personal information.

The incident has prompted police to remind users to take caution when posting photos and information on social networks once again.
