TV & FILM
Michael Garcia - July 20, 2016
I went to film school and studied all the great movies of the past, the ones that transcended entertainment and became real art. Along with the works of Truffaut and Orson Welles I would have to list the original XxX movie starring Vin Diesel as one of the greatest films ever made. The stunts are ridiculous, so much stuff blows up, and Vin Diesel is absurdly charming. I think he's an underrated actor. The Riddick movies are great and he was the voice of The Iron Giant, (respect). Now he's back reprising the role of Xander Cage in this sequel called xXx: Return Of Xander Cage. There is more fighting, more explosions, and more fighting. It looks to be action-packed in a very good way.
I know it's controversial to say, but I like XxX more than the Fast and Furious movies. They are good, don't get me wrong, but a little redundant. They can only engage in "vehicular warfare" so much. But XxX always satisfies...at least when Vin is starring.
