UpperCup: An iPhone Case That Holds Your Phone and Your Cup of Coffee

The UpperCup takes you where no other iPhone case has taken you ever before. With all the crazy cases people are coming up with these days, it was only a matter of time before they added a cup holder to it, don't you think? Now all they need to do is find a way to attach a kitchen sink to the case, and we can all say we've seen everything.

To be the honest, the UpperCup is a fun idea. After all, how many of us hold a coffee cup in one hand and our phones on the other while we're on our way to work? I'd say one too many.

The thing is, I'm not entirely convinced that it's a good idea to carry both side by side. Trip on a chip on a pavement or bump elbows with the chick from the third floor and you've got yourself a front-row seat to watch your iPhone slowly (or quickly--it depends on the situation) fizzle out to its untimely demise.

If you're willing to take the risk, then hope many others are with you, because the UpperCup is currently up for funding on Indiegogo. So if it doesn't meet its goal by the end of the campaign, then this coffee cup holder-slash-phone case will forever remain a concept--until its designer figures out another way to drum up some funding for it.
