TV & FILM

The Avengers was awesome, but it was hardly a prefect film. Director Joss Whedon will be the first to tell you that.
One of the weirdest, if not biggest flaws? The absence of Dr. Jane Foster, a.k.a. Natalie Portman. It sure seemed like she could have been in the movie. She was basically Thor's long-distance girlfriend, and since the guy isn't able to get to Earth very often after the destruction of the Bifröst Bridge, you'd think they'd be all over each other making sweet, sweet, superheroic love. But no. Thor had time to eat shawarma at the end of Avengers, but he couldn't even pick up a phone to give Jane a ring.
So one of the more interesting questions heading into the release of this fall's Thor: The Dark World has been how that film would deal with Foster's absence from The Avengers. Would they just pretend like it didn't happen, or would they confront it head on?
Well, thanks to the latest TV spot, we now know the answer: confrontation. It turns out Jane Foster is also kind of annoyed she wasn't in The Avengers, and she lets the God of Thunder hear about it.
You go gurrl.
