Trekkies at the Creation Star Trek Convention in Las Vegas ranked the Star Trek films from best to worst. Not surprisingly, the fans thought that Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan was the best...because it is. What was shocking is the film they picked as the worst: Star Trek Into Darkness. The list included all of the original cast films, the Next Generation movies, and JJ Abrams' Star Trek reboots. It's no secret that a lot of hardcore Trekkies weren't happy with Abrams' reboot because they consider it more of an action movie than true sci-fi. They were also unhappy with Abrams' messing with the timeline with all of his time travel nonsense. Granted. But to say that Into Darkness is the WORST of the series is insane.

Into Darkness had problems, no doubt. Unlike the first reboot film that at least had an original story, Into Darkness is basically a rehash of Wrath of Khan. But it is not worse than Star Trek V: The Final Frontier or Star Trek: Nemesis. Can we honestly say it is worse than Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home with all of that whale nonsense? Or even Star Trek: The Motion Picture with the bald chick and friggin' Vyger. I think that the fans are still sore because it was the most recent disappointment in a franchise that is hit or miss at best. Will they feel the same way in a year or ten years? 15 years later I still think was the worst Star Wars movie. Some crap stinks forever.
