It's been a crazy week for poster releases. First we were treated to the Dark Knight Rises homage in the new Star Trek Into Darkness one-sheet and then were given a mysterious Man of Steel in cuffs Man of Steel poster and today we're given a vision of an ultra-cool, post-apocalyptic Manhattan in the Oblivion poster. While I would've preferred a body shot of co-star Olga Kurylenko, the shot of a diminutive Tom Cruise by his shuttle looking up at the waterfall that's overtaken the Empire State Building is pretty damn epic. Directed by Tron: Legacy helmer Joseph Kosinksi, this is really one of the movies to look forward to in 2013.

A court martial sends a veteran soldier to a distant planet, where he has to destroy the remains of an alien race. The arrival of an unexpected traveler causes him to question what he knows about the planet, his mission, and himself.

Oblivion opens April 12, 2013. See the poster in its entirety after the jump.
