Chris Johnson Doesn’t Want to Point Fingers, But Says It’s Not His Fault He Has 21 Yards So Far

I'd hate to say that the Tennessee Titans are done after two games, but I'm going to go ahead and say that the 2012-13 season for the Titans is pretty much done. When your star (former star?) running back is averaging 1.1 yards a carry for 10.5 yards a game and then says it's not his fault because the line isn't doing anything to help him, well, that doesn't end well for anyone.

Chris Johnson, once a 2,000 yard runner, is off to an abysmal start. Check out this quote via NFL.com:

I'm never perfect. Even when I went for 2,000 (yards), I wasn't thinking I was perfect," Johnson told The Tennessean's John Glennon. "But I wouldn't sit here and say I'm to blame.

He wasn't done there because even though he's not making moves on the field, his quotes were zig-zagging all over the place.

I think this is my favorite part. Johnson says he's not the kind of guy to point fingers, and then points his fingers directly at his line.

It's a situation where I'm only going to be as good as my line is going to be, so we have to work together and get better together.

Okay, he added the 'we' but he's completely blaming the line. All this is doing is making me want to watch their next game. I wouldn't be surprised if the line all accidentally missed their blocks on one play and let Johnson just get pasted in the backfield by two blitzing linebackers.

Johnson added that he doesn't think he's missed any big plays, but that the offense hasn't had the opportunity to stay on the field. Gee, I wonder if it's because they don't have anything resembling a running game? The Titans next loss comes Sunday at home against the Lions.
