TV & FILM

As I look at the calendar, there's really nothing being released between now and November 3 that I'm eager to see. Thankfully it's gonna be Thor to the rescue on that date as we finally get a load of what director Taika Waititi and the gang have cooked up with Thor: Ragnarok.
This new TV spot shows a pretty great overview of the movie as Thor (Chris Hemsworth) begins to assemble his own team to take down Hela (Cate Blanchett). Thor's team consists of Tessa Thompson's Valkyrie, Mark Ruffalo's Hulk, and of course, Tom Hiddleston's Loki. This and Infinity War will probably be Loki's last hurrah, so get in some quality time with everyone's favorite Marvel anti-hero while you can. We also get a peek at Thor's encounter with Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch), though I doubt he'll play much of a role in the third act of the film.
I think we're in for a hell of a ride with this flick and considering the fact that no one has any expectations of a Thor movie anymore, it seems like a recipe for something awesome. Like the first Guardians of the Galaxy movie, no one's gonna see it coming. Tickets are on sale now for Thor: Ragnarok, which opens in theaters across North America on November 3.
