Whether you stopped watching years ago, or you're still an avid fan, it's probably worth checking out this Sunday's LEGO-themed episode of The Simpsons. It also marks the 550th episode of the series, a fact which makes me feel old, sad, and a little fat.
If you're wondering why America's favorite yellow cartoon family is made out of LEGOs, you're not alone. Homer's also a little confused about it, at least according to the plot synopses I found onComing Soon.
Homer wakes up in a world where his family and everyone in Springfield are made of LEGOs. Can he "put together" how he got there and figure out how to get home before he's trapped in a world of bricks forever?
In other words, it's a big commercial. But as far as stupid product placement goes, you can do a lot worse than LEGOs. It's not like The Simpsons are going to a Monsanto lab or a Clippers game.
The episode airs this Sunday, May 4th, on Fox at 8:00 pm EST/PST.
