Who ever said that copyright infringement doesn't pay? It obviously does, as you can see from what Kim Dotcom was able to do with all those Megaupload-generated funds.
You might have already heard about the raid of epic proportions on Kim's house back in January, where over a hundred police officers touched down and confiscated a couple of his expensive toys. A total of 18 cars were seized, including a Lamborghini, a 2010 Maserati, a 2008 Rolls Royce Phantom, and a vintage pink Cadillac (so Kim has a soft side?)
Kim was obviously put-off by how the raid went down and said that the police used way too much force during the raid, what with their elite forces and helicopters (yes, there were helicopters) and all.
Within two seconds, they were there and all over me. I had a punch to the face, I had boots kicking me down to the floor, I had a knee into my ribs, and then my hands were on the floor and one man was standing on my hand.

New Zealand's 3News recently released the footage from the raid, which you can view in all it's glory in the player above.
Dotcom's extradition hearing has been postponed until 2013 because of uncertainties in the legality of the search warrants used in the raid.
