Every single movie studio and production house in the world right now is hoping to catch just a taste of the residual success of Black Panther. Michael B. Jordan's next project—following his turn as the villainous Erik Killmonger—will be an adaptation of Ray Bradbury's cautionary dystopian novel Fahrenheit 451 for HBO. And you just know that HBO's going to start putting him front and center in their advertising campaign.
In fairness, he is playing Guy Montag, the lead character of the book, so it makes sense that he'd be the figurehead of the marketing. But still, it reeks of HBO trying to suck up some of that sweet MCU success. Of course, the thing that sells the film geeks on this one is the reunion of 99 Homes director Ramin Bahrani and star Michael Shannon who plays Beatty, Montag's mentor and chief antagonist.
Bear with me while I audition to write for GeneShalit.com: This new trailer shows just a bit of the heat coming off of this project! This one's a real scorcher! Fahrenheit 451 lights up the screen this Spring on HBO!
