As is the trend in Hollywood these days, every summer brings a new batch of R-rated comedies meant to bring adults to the multiplex in droves. Last summer we had Bad Moms and Sausage Party, and this summer we've got Rough Night and The House. While the former has Scarlett Johansson in a bachelorette party gone wrong scenario, the latter brings Will Ferrell and Amy Poehler together for a laugh riot about straight-laced suburban adults losing their minds.
While I love both Ferrell and Poehler, the real draw for me is Jason Mantzoukas. He is one of the funniest dudes around and has been the best thing about several seriously unfunny movies like Dirty Grandpa and The Dictator. If you've never seen him as Rafi on The League or listened to his podcast "How Did This Get Made," you've now got homework for the weekend. As far as his involvement in this film, it seems like he's playing his usual, law-breaking, fun time character, and that's exactly what you want from him.
Be warned, this trailer is seriously NSFW, unless you work with me, in which case, crank up the volume! The House hits theaters on June 30.
