3D printers have been around for a while now, but what a lot of people have been clamoring for is a food printer. You see it in cartoons, comics, TV shows, and movies--and soon you'll be able to see it in real life. That's if Barcelona-based Natural Machines succeeds.

They're in the process of developing a 3D food printer called Foodini, and they recently shared one of the delectable creations that we're assuming was created by one of their prototype printers with the public: pizza. Only the dough and sauce were 3D printed, while the spices and cheese were added by hand. Granted, it still needs a bit of work in order to print dishes to completion, but what they've already been able to achieve is quite a feat in itself.
