I have a confession to make: I am obsessed with Full House. For the better part of my life I've marveled at the hijinks of the Tanners, the Katsopolises, and Joey. I could discuss the four floor house alone for hours. Full House is, in a way, the archetypal Platonic form of the cheesy 80's-90's sitcom. They went through every cliche, trope, and gag in the book. It's a tale of a widower who has his mullet-wearing rocker brother-in-law Jesse and mullet-wearing best friend Joey move in to help him raise his precocious daughters. Add to that Kimmy Gibbler and you've got yourself a sitcom! I've wasted so many hours watching this show in syndication. I've often thought that if I get my PhD in media studies I'll write my thesis on Full House.
That's why I was so excited by this mini-reunion of Jesse, Danny, and Joey. They come in to Jimmy Fallon's room to give him a pep talk about taking over The Tonight Show. Yes, Mr. Woodchuck does make an appearance.
