There's a new trailer for Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, and it really delivers in the damned dirty ape department. The nearly three-minute clip is filled with a wide variety CGI primates, and they look remarkably lifelike. But in all fairness, so does Gary Oldman.

Since the last film, Caesar and his band of genetically-modified simians have grown in number and are carving out a new society in the woods outside San Francisco. Meanwhile, thanks to a deadly virus, humanity's numbers are dwindling, and the survivors are clutching to what little is left of the modern world. As the title of the film might suggest, it's only a matter of time before these two groups face off in battle for the future of planet earth.

Dawn of the Planet of the Apes opens in theaters on July 11.
