College football is back! If you didn't go to one of the 128 FBS schools, which team should you root for? Simple: The one with the most beautiful cheerleaders.

I've analyzed the spirit squads of every* major college football team and determined the top five. Have a different opinion? Throw a penalty flag in the comments.

*I did not look at every team and this survey is completely subjective.

#5 Georgia

Ever since women were admitted to UGA in the 1920s, the Georgia Cheerleaders have been cheering on the Bulldogs. You've gotta love the bright bows on these sweet Southern peaches. They also go for the temporary face tattoos, which I'm not into, but which certainly shows spirit. There are male cheerleaders at Georgia as well, but...who cares?

#4 SMU

That's Southern Methodist University in Dallas, a school with a phenomenal football program until the 1980s, when they, uh, cheated really horribly. But the school keeps winning: SMU is the 2016 national cheerleading champion. Southern girls are one thing; Texas girls are a whole other level. And those red and white boots are adorable.

#3 Wisconsin

The Beach Boys sang, "Midwest farmers' daughters really make you feel all right." And I feel most all right with the corn-fed cuties of the UW Cheerleaders. The Red Squad performs at football and men's basketball games, but let's give it up for the White Squad, which cheers only for women's basketball. Solidarity, sisters!

#2 UCF

Yes, I'm saying the cheerleaders at the University of Central Florida are more attractive than the ones at Florida, Miami, or FSU. They're also more talented: The school won the cheerleading national championship in 2007 and have finished in the top five every year since. Remember, UCF is in Orlando, so some of these girls double as Disney princesses. That beats every other college, except...

#1 USC

The crisp white sweaters. The giant, old-school pom-poms. No bows, no sparkles, no face paint. Just simplicity and beauty. The USC Song Girls were formed in 1967 and had an immediate effect -- that season, the football team won its first national title in 28 years. These West Coast beauties have been an iconic part of college football for fifty years, symbolizing California, sunshine, and happiness.

Oh, and they don't always wear those sweaters:
