TO made his struggles with finances and paying child support famous by going on Dr. Phil and talking about them. I have no idea if he is still engaged in legal proceedings, but if he is he may want to give Dennis Rodman a call.

Like TO, Rodman has been having issues with paying his child support, but to his ex-wife in regards to the two children they have (not multiple women and children like TO). According to his ex-wife's lawyer, Rodman owes around $800,000 in back child support (which there is still legal action pending along with more contempt charges).

That part of the case is still pending for Rodman, but the judge ruled Tuesday on four contempt charges stemming from his failure to pay child support back in 2009 and '10. The former basketball star will have to serve 104 hours of community service, serve three years of informal probation, and keep up with his current child and spousal support obligations.

According to reports, Rodman is actually keeping up with payments now that they have been reduced to $4500 a month from the $50,000 a month that they used to be.

Before you balk at the size of the reduction keep in mind that we are talking about Dennis Rodman here. Do you think he did anything smart with his money while he was playing? Court documents say that he did not and at one time was essentially broke. His 2010 tax return says he made 150 grand.

If that is the case, the guy is still better off than the rest of us, but can't pay $50,000 in support a month.

Rodman appears to have his head in the right place through the legal mess. He has stated that his concern is the kids and that he holds no grudge against his ex-wife.

Actually, in the end this will probably help Rodman. A person of his notoriety will garner a ton of attention for whatever charity he does his community service with meaning that it will likely benefit even more through his involvement. That can only result in good will being generated for him. Goodwill for a guy like Rodman can only mean future business opportunities (meaning more money).

Kudos Rodman; way to step up and figure something out. Now how about giving TO a call and giving him some advice?
