TV & FILM

Still sore about Green Lantern not really getting his due on the big screen? Well, so are the writers behind this summer's Teen Titans GO! to the Movies, as they directed a pretty good burn right at that 2011 debacle. While there's absolutely no hint of what the film will be about, if I had to guess, I'd say that the Titans are sore that all of their superhero elders have gotten movies, so it's time for them to get one of their own.
While it's not the most revolutionary idea for a film adaptation anyone's ever had, I have to admit that it will fit well with their joke-a-minute, meta, take nothing seriously style. We get a quick glimpse of Nic Cage's Superman in this TV spot as well, though don't expect to hear him say anything. I imagine they're saving that golden nugget for anyone shelling out the big bucks to see this on the big screen.
This will nicely fill that slot that LEGO Batman filled last year of a DC superhero movie that doesn't take itself dead seriously. I may get some heat for saying this, but I actually can't wait to see this. Check out the new poster below and see if that does anything to change your mind. Teen Titans GO! to the Movies on July 27.
