Being a Stranger Things fan has got to be tough at times like this. As the wait for the third season stretches into its second year, at least we now have an end date in sight. Via a new trailer (above) and poster (below), Netflix has confirmed that the show will be returning just in time for America's 243rd birthday.
A lot of this new season is set to revolve around the new Starcourt Mall in town, which proves that the one thing people associate with the 80s—in pop culture anyway—is the mall. Hell, even Wonder Woman's going to the mall in her upcoming 80s-set sequel. Hopefully she stops by Spencer's Gifts for a black light poster and penis lollipop molds.
Thankfully I'm not a fan of Stranger Things, so the wait for the new season doesn't seem as arduous for me, but at least those of you in love with the show can rest easy in knowing that it'll be back relatively soon. Hopefully you can find a quiet, fireworks-free place to watch the new third—and reportedly final—season when it debuts in its entirety on Netflix on July 4.
