Five members of Southern Mississippi's band had their scholarships yanked after they chanted "where's your green card" at Kansas State guard Angel Rodriguez during the NCAA tournament.

Southern Miss vice president of student affairs Dr. Joe Paul called it a "teachable moment" in a statement. Perhaps they should teach some geography as well. Rodriguez is from Puerto Rico, a commonwealth of the U.S., so Puerto Ricans don't need green cards.
