Someone Does Like Terrell Owens–Sort of

There are some guys that just don't know when to go away. Terrell Owens is one of them. Statistically he will go down in history as one of the greatest wide receivers to ever play the game. He'll only be 'one of' rather than the greatest because no one wants to play with him due to his toxic attitude.

Ask him of course and he'll tell you what a great teammate he is; that the perception of him and his attitude is the media's fault and not his. After all, it was the media that broadcast him doing crunches in his drive way and bad mouthing his quarterback back when he was with the Eagles, right?

As it turns out, there is one guy that sees some value to TO--his former QB in Cincinnati, Carson Palmer. Recently Palmer asked TO to work out with the Raiders receivers so that they could see what it takes to be a success in the NFL (apparently he didn't have TO instruct them on media relations).

It would sound like this would mean that Palmer would not mind having TO in camp with the Raiders, right? Wrong.

"I love the guys we have," Palmer said. "I don't know where the spots are to be had. You can only carry so many receivers. . . . Training camp, at that position, is going to be really interesting because there's a lot of guys. There's too many guys."

Carson, wouldn't it be better for the Raiders to keep the best guys possible and not just the best guys on the roster? It sounds like Carson may respect TO on the field, but has another reason for not wanting him around.

Hmmm...what, pray tell could that be?

(Dallas Fans will love/hate this game. The 'Boys lost, but TO got put in his place!)
