'Sin City' was one of the most popular and arousing films of 2005 with Jessica Alba's Nancy Callahan becoming one of the great sex icons of the new millenium. Pity she had to keep most of her clothes on though.
For those of you who have been eagerly awaiting the return of Alba's stripper and all of the other characters which populated Robert Rodriguez's epic then the announcement that the Latino director is currently working on a sequel will fill you with glee.
The director has told The Hollywood Reporter that the shoot will begin this summer but has yet to confirm any recurring characters, actors or if he'll use the same cinematic techniques as the original. Earlier in the year the creator of the 'Sin City' graphic novel series, Frank Miller, provided some information on the new film explaining that, "Sin City 2 is primarily an adaptation of the book A Dame to Kill For. It also features the short story, Just Another Saturday Night and two new stories, one involving Jessica Alba's character, Nancy Callahan, that I came up with for the movie in order to tie things together and make it be more united with the first."
With Rodriguez starting filming on Machete 2 in April it promises to be a busy summer for the Desperado director.
