Shane Black Will Direct A ‘Predator’ Reboot

Shane Black, the writer behind Lethal Weapon, is set to direct a Predator reboot, THR is reporting. Shane, who wrote Kiss Kiss Bang Bang and Iron Man 3, will also write a treatment for the film, with screenwriter Fred Dekker taking over from there.



THR is also reporting that Dekker and Shane wrote the screenplay to the 80's comedy Monster Squad, which is either great or horrible depending on your appreciation of 80's nostalgia.



The original film starred 80's icons Arnold Schwarzenegger, Carl Weathers and Jesse Ventura, and Shane himself actually appeared in a minor role. But as of now, there's no word on who will star in the film, or whether or not Arnie will make some sort of an appearance. But if I was a gambling man, I'd put my money on yes.
