Prior to the start of the Euro 2012 tourney, a feminist group from the Ukraine, FEMEN, had threatened to protest events and matches in order to support their cause and get the message out. Their intent is to speak out against the sex trade; their method of protest—taking their clothes off.
There has been no word yet on how successful they have been in the two host countries, Poland and the Ukraine. According to some recent reports it appears that they may have been targeting the wrong country. They should have been in Britain.
Any ladies man in need of a little extra work should move to the UK during the tournament. Supposedly hiring of male escorts goes up by roughly a quarter during that time. The guys stay pretty busy too. One gentleman that was interviewed described it as mayhem:
I've shot up from three to eight clients a week — it's absolute mayhem. I charge between £120 and £800, depending on how long I spend with them and what we do, so my bank balance is benefiting beyond belief.
What makes it even better is the reason he says so many more women are looking for companionship during this time of year:
Clients don't normally tell me much about their reasons for booking my services...nearly all the women who have book me during the Euros complain about the football.
Hmmm...kind of makes you wonder how the business in the industry is in the U.S. during the Super Bowl.
