Selena Gomez: Woody Allen Sexual Misconduct Who?

When all the jizz finally settles and we look back at the Weinstein era of sexual assault allegations in Hollywood, the overarching lesson will be the same one that it's always been - money makes the world go round. Or maybe, a clear conscience is the sure sign of a bad memory. Or maybe, people are full of donkey shit. People will continue to have selective memory, and any still-bankable offenders will make successful comebacks, eventually poking fun at their crazy time in 2017. Male and female celebrities alike are currently maneuvering and sometimes exploiting the increasingly complex narratives of assault like a game of Sexual Allegation Frogger, and sassy starlet Selena Gomez, like countless celebrities before her, just avoided being squished for her association with the OG child molester Woody Allen with some indecipherable eluding wordplay. When asked by Billboard about working with him in yet another Allen star-fucking vanity project A Rainy Day in New York, Selena tossed up this word salad:

To be honest, I’m not sure how to answer — not because I’m trying to back away from it. [The Harvey Weinstein allegations] actually happened right after I had started [on the movie]. They popped up in the midst of it. And that’s something, yes, I had to face and discuss. I stepped back and thought, ‘Wow, the universe works in interesting ways.'

Heyuk, gawsh. During the same interview, Gomez spoke to the importance of women and women's voices and everything women and women rule the world and women pool their pussy juices together to create an inseparable bond of womanhood. Well all woman besides Dylan Farrow. She wanted it. In response to women, besides Dylan Farrow, finally being heard in Hollywood:

I’ve cried. But I definitely feel hopeful. As people speak out, I hope that feels powerful to them, because they deserve to feel that. I’m fortunate enough not to have experienced some of the traumatic things that other women have had to go through. I’ve known people in my family who’ve gone through those things. I try to let people come to me and open up, to make a safe environment for them to do so.

Allen was publically accused by adopted daughter Dylan Farrow of engaging in pussy play when she was a child, but the accusation happened to be in 2014, when victim shaming shaming wasn't the "it" thing to do. Allen's rep stated that Farrow was a psychopath, and that pretty much ended that. And she might be, but nowadays she would still be championed by Rose McGowan and the likes even if she ate a baby.

Young stars like Gomez pop into the conversation when it's convenient without understanding the full context. This makes them insufferable, which is why they have to look so hot to make it in Hollywood. Oh, now I understand showbiz. Well, except for Lena Dunham. At least being fuckable is something Gomez is good at. I'm sure Woody Allen agrees.
