Second Director Leaves Bioshock Movie

Whether you've heard about it or not, details regarding a Bioshock movie have been floating around cyberspace since May, 2008. Most of the news ends up being bad, but sometimes there's a hint of optimistic hearsay that emerges from the rubble. Unfortunately, this is not the case today.

After the departure of the original director chosen to helm the big screen video game adaptation, Gore Verbinski, Bioshock has now lost their second director, Juan Carlos Fresnadillo.

In a recent interview with IndieWire, Fresnadillo announced the movie was on hold and stated that, 'the studio and the videogame company, they have to reach some kind of agreement about the budget and the rating'.

What does this mean for Bioshock fans? It means that we'll either receive a nice, gruesome, R-rated film with a lower budget or a big budget, watered down version of one of the biggest video game titles of this generation.
