Scratched DVDs. They're the bane of many people's existence. All it takes is one false move, one careless step, and your DVD is scratched forever. Or wait--is it?

Yahoo's Becky Worley wasn't about to give the battle of scratches up, so she put together a video on how to save scratched discs from those awful scratches. Among her scratch-erasing tools? A banana. That's right folks, I kid you not.

The strange thing is that's actually one of the 'remedies' that many people recommend when you go searching for a scratch cure on the Interwebs. Other household items that you can use to remove the scratches from your DVDs include toothpaste, furniture polish, and car wax.

Three out of more made a difference. Of these, two were okay for light scratches, while one did wonders for heavy scratches. Which is which? Hit 'play' above to find out.
