New York Jets wide receiver Santonio Holmes and quarterback Mark Sanchez didn't speak to each for the final 12 weeks of last season. During the offseason, they apparently worked things out. Actually, they really worked things out because according to Holmes, Sanchez was already confiding in him March. Looks like that was a bad move by Sanchez.
March was when the Jets traded for Tim Tebow, and according to Holmes the move 'rattled' Sanchez. Holmes explained what he meant by that.
"I use that word only to say that, 'Wow, how did this happen?' Those were words that came out of his mouth."
That should make Sanchez feel good, knowing that his personal feelings are being put out there by Holmes. I'm sure that probably won't affect their relationship at all.
But according to ESPN, Holmes meant that as a compliment, saying that he's proud of the way Sanchez has handled the situation.
The Jets are about to implode, and there's nothing that can stop it now. The Jets schedule to start the year is just brutal. Seriously, they could easily be 2-6 going to their bye week. They start with Buffalo, then go to Pittsburgh then go to Miami. They should beat the Dolphins.
After that, the Jets host San Francisco, Houston and Indianapolis. That could be a 1-2 homestand. So if they're 2-3 going to week six, do they start Tebow? The fans and media will say yes. Jets owner Woody Johnson has already said 'you can never have too much Tim Tebow.'
So Tebow would start at New England and then a home game against Miami, which the Dolphins could steal, and bam, they're 2-6.
The Jets are going to be so entertaining this year.
