I live in New York City where tourists are a menace. But in the past couple of years they have become a true danger with the proliferation of selfies. No longer content to have someone else take their picture in front of the Empire State Building or the Red Lobster in Times Square, they now insist on taking hundreds of pics of themselves using the selfie option on their phones. Or they use those obnoxious sticks. Apparently, the Russians have the same problem. No surprise given how many tourists go to Russia every year. So, the Russian interior ministry released a series of ads meant to encourage people to pay attention to what they are doing.
The graphics show the figures engaging in dangerous activities while taking selfies. Standing by some stairs or the edge of a cliff are two sensible ones. But because it's Russia they also have one where a dude is taking a picture while holding a gun. You know, like you do.
