The man put the hard in hard rock and blew our ear drums out with songs like "Super-Charger Heaven" (while with White Zombie), "Hands of Death" (with rock legend Alice Cooper), "Dragula", and "Living Dead Girl".

In his spare time he put the horror in horror movies with such cult classics as House of 1000 Corpses and The Devil's Rejects as well as a remake of the horror classic Halloween. I'm talking about Rob Zombie of course.

Now he's taking his unique talents and vision to make a movie in a genre outside of is norm—sports. Rob Zombie is going to make a movie on one of the toughest teams in the history of the NHL, the Broad Street Bullies.

The Bullies, otherwise known as the Philadelphia Flyers, were known as a team that was always ready to mix it up. With a ready to rumble kind of style, the Flyers bullied their way through the competition in the early/mid 70s en route to two Stanley Cup championships in the '74 and '75 seasons.

The name was born during the 1972-73 season after the Flyers had physicaly beaten down the Atlanta Flames in a 3-1 win. An article on the game was titled "Broad Street Bullies Muscle Atlanta." The name stuck as the team continued to brawl and intimidate their way through the competition for years to come.

With Rob Zombie at the helm there is no telling what direction the flick will take. The former rocker had this to say:

"Each character involved is more outrageous than the next. The backdrop of the turbulent year of 1974 is perfect for this 'stranger than fiction' sports tale."

If Rob Zombie considers something outrageous than you know it has to be crazy!
