New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski just signed a huge contract extension, to the tune of six years for $54 million. That makes him the highest paid tight end in the history of the NFL.
Gronkowski is only going into his third year, but he's been an absolute beast so it makes sense that the Pats would want to lock him down for the long term. Gronkowski set TE records with 17 touchdown grabs and 1,327 yards last year when he caught 90 passes overall.
Of course what this really means is that Gronkowski is about to go on an epic celebration. His partying is legendary and he doesn't care if it's documented. This could get interesting.
