R.I.P. Tom Petty 1950-2017

Rock n roll legend Tom Petty has left us way too soon, but so it is with most of the great ones. They burn out before their time. Late yesterday, conflicting reports were flying about the musician, but official word came down not long after stating definitively that Petty had passed away.

If you're a fan of music, you're a fan of Tom Petty. Even if you don't like all of his stuff, there's a handful of classics that will live forever. Here are five of my favorite Petty tunes, two of which are part of collaborations he did with other great musicians. The world won't be the same without him. Rest in peace.
