Rihanna fans are pretty excited that their idol, singing sensation, pop star to the stars Rihanna is back with some music after a 6 year break, letting her throat rest, or because maybe things were better left in the past, because I'm not vibing on this as a comeback record.
While she tapped out of the whole music making thing to focus on making babies and direct to consumer lingerie brands worth billions of dollars.
When someone has so much RAW talent, it's hard to keep them from their true calling, especially when they are probably offered a stupid amount of money to get back in the studio for a heavily marketed, much anticipated movie.
The song is called Lift Me Up, it is part of the Wakanda Forever Sound Track, it has 3 million views already and was only posted today.
It's not my vibe, I find it a little weak, a little depressing, a little boring and definitely not uplifting despite being called "Lift Me Up".
It is definitely not a song that makes me want to watch the movie, or that is memorable enough to be one of those classic soundtrack songs we still listen years later, like the Top Gun Song, the Dirty Dancing Song, the Ghostbusters song, the St Elmo's Fire song, the 8 Mile song....you get what I am saying.
I'm also not a Rihanna fan! Take a listen, let me know what you think:
