Lots of players in that headline. But then again, the Rice Owls were double dipping when the marching band took a form that spelled "U$C" during the halftime performance at game against UCLA that Rice would go on to lose 35-24.
Why would the Owls marching band poke fun at USC's history of paying football players (were speculating there) by spelling the school's name with a "$" while the football team is losing to UCLA? Not sure. But it probably has something to do with the fact that everybody outside of California thinks the entire state is just one city/town/school and they can't be bothered to differentiate....even when it's spelled out for them.
