CELEBRITIES
bill-swift - November 13, 2012
There are a number of things that are always topics of conversation among those that love the NFL; whose cheerleaders are the hottest, is Brett Favre truly retired, if Bill Belichick is Darth Vader does that make Tom Brady Luke Skywalker, and what coaches need to start prepping their resumes?
The NFL tends to go along with Miss Jackson and wonders "what have you done for me lately?" If the answer is not much then the chances of keeping one's job are slim. Success isn't just expected; it's demanded. So with each passing week as teams under-perform and losing records get worse the hot seat gets warmer and warmer for some guys.
Rex Ryan is my favorite to get fired at the end of the season. If the team just flat out sucked the argument could be made that he doesn't have the personnel, but this season as well as year's past have shown us that even Mark Sanchez can be better. When so many players are not getting the job done the problem is with the leadership.
He's not alone of course. Andy Reid is well on is way out the door unless he gets his hands on some incriminating photos of owner Jeffrey Lurie. If Jason Garrett can at least take the Cowboys to the playoffs his job could be saved, but if he doesn't then even Jerry Jones may admit he made a mistake.
There are plenty more of course, and there are some that are as yet to be identified. As the season plays out it would not be surprising to see the NFL job board grow.
