As the Ego-gamers among you have surely noticed, HD remasters are a big deal right now. We're up to our ‘nads in remakes, remasters, re-releases and of that BS.
Last week, the PC port of Final Fantasy VII hit PS4, and the first gameplay trailer of the remake hit at the same time. I don't know how much Final Fantasy VII is too freaking much, but we must be pretty close right here. That's what too many HD remasters does to the world.
I think I'll let Resident Evil Zero HD pass, though. After all, a lot of us would never have experienced this one last time ‘round. Zero is the prequel to the legendary original, released exclusively on GameCube in 2002. It's the story of just what the hell happened to Bravo Team in the Arklay Mountains. There are leeches, trains, a giant effing scorpion, what's not to like?
Capcom have confirmed that the game will hit Xbox 360, Xbox One, PS3, PS4 and PC on January 19. It'll include the all-new Wesker mode –which allows you to play as the series' dastardliest and bastardliest villain himself—and optional modern controls, Destructoid reports. Pre-ordering will net you ‘the Wolf Force Billy and cheerleader Rebecca costume pack, on every platform but the Xbox 360,' which is an odd little caveat.
Take note, Omi. You won't be finding yourself a cheer-lea-der on the 360, buddy boy.
