‘Resident Evil: Vendetta’ Is On The Way (It’s A CGI Movie, Sadly)

We’re good Ego-buddies, you and I. We’ve been through a hell of a lot together. You know where the bodies are buried (literally; mistakes have been made). There are no secrets between us. I’ve told you that I actually like the Resident Evil movies, haven’t I?

I don’t think they’re good, you understand. I’m not some tasteless troglodyte. They were just mindlessly entertaining; the same way an Arnold Schwarzenegger flick is. You just leave your brain at the door and enjoy the ridiculous slice of Grade A batshittery that’s unfolding before your eyeballs. Or I did, at any rate.

In the case of the live action Evil films, I’m sure I liked them for the wrong reasons. Mainly reasons like that one awesome dude who was cowering in the corner, was offered a gun for his protection and said ‘mothereffer, please… my shit’s custom’ before busting out his gold-plated pistol. That guy was the man.

Anywho, yes. We’d already caught wind of another Resident Evil movie on the way, but now we’ve got a couple more details. It’ll be another CGI deal from Marza Animation, dubbed Resident Evil: Vendetta. It’s due to hit some time in 2017. There’s also, we’re told, a super-exciting (for motorcycle fans) collaboration with Ducati at work. Vendetta will feature, Marza reports, ‘Resident Evil franchise character, Leon S. Kennedy riding the DUCATI’s newest series XDiavel in the action-packed scenes and at the climax of the movie.’

So there you go. If the floppy-haired hero climaxing all over a fancy Italian motorcycle isn’t a USP, I don’t know what the hell is. Look forward to that one.
