Philadelphia Eagles QB Michael Vick got married over the weekend, and according to a report, security for the wedding cost $300,000. That seems absurd, but I guess that's possible. A South Florida centered gossip site called Gossipextra.com says that Vick and longtime fiancee Kijafa Frink were married this past Saturday at the Fontainebleau in Miami.
According to the site, the wedding had around 300 guests, including Eagles coach Andy Reid, Vick's teammate LeSean McCoy, Falcons WR Roddy White and Vick's cousin, former Saints QB Aaron Brooks.
And now for more inside information. What did they eat? The site had another well placed source.
According to a server, the menu was as down-home as the 32-year-old Vick himself: lobster and oysters and shrimp, but also chicken and waffles, something that the Fontainebleau, one of South Florida's most expensive hotels where wedding dinners start at $185-a-plate, had never served before.
For a guy who still owes creditors, thanks to going to prison and filing for bankruptcy, it seems a little over the top. Sure, Vick signed a new deal and got 35 million bucks guaranteed, but still it just doesn't come across as good money management.
Anyway, congrats to Vick and Frink.
