So here we are, Ego-friends. 2016 is so close you can damn well smell it. I've no idea what it actually smells of, come to think of it; probably bullshit from the avalanche of ‘new year, new me' posts that are about to hit Facebook. The point is, though, a new year is upon us.
What does that mean? All kinds of things, really. Resolutions to make (and forget as soon as you sober up the day after), fresh starts, reflection, all of that business. But also, for Sony and Microsoft, it's time to kick off PS4/ Xbox One's years the right way.
Right on cue, here comes a PlayStation exec with some wang-waving PR spiel.
2016 will bring ‘an unprecedented rush' of huge games to PS4, promises Sony bigwig Shuhei Yoshida. ‘It's also the year of the long-awaited launch of PlayStation VR,' he told 4Gamer(via DualShockers). ‘It's the year PS4 users, and those who are on the fence on whether to buy it will absolutely think, 'It's good to have a PS4.' Please look forward to it.'
I'm sure it sounded much more emphatic and buy-our-shit-now-ish in the original Japanese, but still. There's no doubt that there are a lot of big titles on their way to the system this new year. 2016's PS4 exclusives will include Uncharted 4: A Thief's End, Gran Turismo Sport and The Last Guardian.
