CELEBRITY

Priyanka Chopra is one of those celebrities who I see in the headlines but don't actually click on. Mostly because I have no idea who she is. A bangable actress who advocates for convenient causes? Rare breed. Chopra found an opportunity to piss her claim all over another penis-shaped hydrant in Celeb Fashionable Feminist Park by defending Prince Harry's girlfriend Meghan Markle from a harrowing experience with Vanity Fair. It appears that the publication wanted to focus more on Markle's role as girlfriend to a prince than as Z-list starlet on her recent cover. Common sense editorial decision apparent to an ameba or hate crime? Chopra weighs in:
I don’t [know] if I will get into trouble for this, but I have an opinion. I mean, she’s on the cover of Vanity Fair. It would have been nice to write about her not just her boyfriend. I’m just saying. I mean, she’s an actor, she’s an activist, she’s a philanthropist. I mean, she does so much more.
It’s just a little sexist. Look, I’m a feminist and I love boys, okay… The only thing I’m saying is that there needs to be a certain sense of equality where a woman is not just a plus one, you know. It’s nice to be your own identity to.
H8ers gonna h8. Chopra bolstering her brand as Feminist Ambassador with a friend's fake marginalization is Hollywood gal pal goals. Professing her loves for boys seems a bit redundant though, considering Chopra's probably loved a lot of them hard and dirty to get to where she is in the biz. Check out both women feministing hardcore in the gallery.
