Do you know what the easiest way to make 7 million dollars is? It's to spend years shoveling fistfuls of microwaveable popcorn down your throat, develop a lung condition and sue the company that makes the popcorn for not putting a warning label on their bags.
A Colorado man has just won $7.2 million in a lawsuit against the Gilster-Mary Lee Corp and Kroger Co. for failing to notify him that the fake buttery flavoring contained the chemical diacetyl, causing him serious respiratory problems colloquially known as 'popcorn lung.'
It seems more and more like everything you eat is bad for you. As if everything you don't eat. Is nothing safe anymore. In the future I'm just going to be sucking protein chains and amino acid sludge through an IV I have attached to my beer helmet. Though I'm sure the plastic in it will cause Cancer. So now that microwaveable popcorn is no longer safe to eat, shall we add it to our list of most dangerous foods?
