Well, damn it. DAMN IT ALL TO HELL. Â
Now, I’ve said it so many times that I’ve worn my typing finger down to a sad, painful, blood-leaking nub, but I’m saying it again: the jury is still very much out on VR gaming. The whole thing’s gaining a little impetus now, with Oculus Rift, HTC Vive and the upcoming PlayStation VR, but it’s too early to say just yet.
I remember back in fifth grade, everyone had a yo-yo. That was the thing. No yo-yo, and you were ostracised like a leper with a couple STDs. So I know the dangers of The Latest Craze™, and I’m a little reluctant to get fully involved. Even more so, when developers pull this sort of thing. Where’s our VR boob ogling already?
Yes indeed. The update that was all set to add a creepy VR leertastic mode to Dead or Alive: Xtreme 3 Fortune has been delayed. If the game’s disturbing-in-the-best-possible-way ‘VR Paradise’ mode was going to be your introduction to this brave new world, I don’t know what to tell you.
VR Paradise was originally set to hit on October 13, as a ‘launch title’ for PlayStation VR, but Destructoid reports that there’s no ETA for it now. Nor was any reason given for the delay. It’s just another mammary mystery, folks.
