Now, if you’re experienced with this whole gametastic thing, you’ll know that the MOBA world is not the friendliest of places. It’s a terrible, forsaken land, full of elitism, learning curves, assholes whining at you down their mics, death threats, cussing and just general bad times.
This isn’t anything against the genre itself, more the bad eggs in the community. It’s the same beef a lot of us have with FPS titles, and the dastardly bastardry therein. The cutesy cartoon visuals of the MOBA hide a dark and sinister heart.
But hell, sometimes dark and sinister gets tiring. Remember in Return of the Jedi, when Darth Vader heaved the Emperor into the abyss? He didn’t want to be an asshole any more. This same line of thinking, I’m sure, drove Epic Games to add an adorable fairy princess to Paragon.
Ego-gents, meet The Fey. I’m not sure where she fits into a cast full of techno-assassins, terrifying man-beasts and deformed aliens, but why the hell not? Ranged support heroes all always welcome in my book, and if they’re just delicately in touch with their feminine side, where’s the harm in that?
