Oklahoma Satanic Monument Design Unveiled

The Satanic Temple has unveiled their design for their monument to Lucifer that they want erected at the Oklahoma capitol building. I told you before about the diabolical scheme to raise a statue of the dark lord in response to Christians putting up the Ten Commandments in the capitol. The legislation allowing this violation of church and state left the door open for all faiths to request inclusion. A Hindu group has already petitioned to put a statue of the monkey god Hanuman. The Satanic Temple's design is pretty straight forward. It's a goat headed Baphomet seated on a throne. As the Temple explains,

"The monument has been designed to reflect the views of Satanists in Oklahoma City and beyond. The statue will also have a functional purpose as a chair where people of all ages may sit on the lap of Satan for inspiration and contemplation."

I love the idea that Satan would gather all the little children on to his hairy goat lap like an evil Santa Claus. The design still has to pass a committee that will decide whether or not build the thing. It looks doubtful that the ultra-conservative Oklahoma bureaucrats will go for it, but you never know. Perhaps the Lord Satan will put his cloven hoof on their hearts and force their hands.
